Wednesdays, November 5, 12, 19 & December 3, 10 in IC’s Chapel at 7:00-8:30 pm
For those seeking a fuller experience of the coming Advent & Christmas seasons, we explore the deeper meaning of the infancy narratives which encapsulate the entire gospel in miniature. Our aim is to move beyond the sentimental aspects of Christmas to reveal the vulnerability of the child in the manger, foreshadowing the suffering and sacrifice of the adult Christ: from the wood of the crib to the wood of the cross, from the swaddling clothes of Bethlehem to the burial cloths of Golgotha. Join us as we venture past the “baby Jesus” and embrace the more challenging call for a mature, adult response to the Gospel.
