Jazz Band

The ICHS Jazz Band rehearses during the Concert Band block and is typically the 2nd half of rehearsal once per week. Jazz band participation is by audition or invitation. The Jazz band will perform at the same concert as the HS Band and HS Chorus. Additional performance opportunities will be communicated as they arise. The jazz band includes the following instruments: alto sax, tenor sax, baritone sax, trumpet, trombone, drum set, piano, bass, guitar and auxiliary percussion. In addition to the traditional instruments of a jazz band; flute, clarinet, horn, bass clarinet, tuba, etc. would be considered if a need arises. Parts will need to be written out for the non-traditional instruments.
