Join your specific Google Classroom on your class page. This is the only way I communicate when you are absent. Please check upon being absent.
The rules in our classroom are very basic.
We will respect each other at all times.
Students are also expected to demonstrate a positive attitude, show a willingness to learn and actively participate in classroom activities and discussions. Ultimately students are responsible, and will be held accountable, for any and all actions in the classroom.
No cell phones, earbuds or other cellphone accessories can be used in class. This is your warning.
On test and quiz days, you must turn your phone in at the front of the class. It will be returned to you at the end of class.
When class ends, get up and push your seat in before you leave.
Come to class everyday with your textbook, notebook, planner, binder, and pencil.
We use the bathroom before class, not during class. The only way you leave this class is with YOUR planner (not the planner of another student). If you attempt to use the planner of another student, I will not allow you to leave class. That includes the bathroom and the nurse. The nurse is not an excused absence from class. You are still responsible for work missed from nurse visits.
There is no sleeping in class. Sleeping will earn you detention.
When Mrs. Pierson or myself are talking, you are not.
In this class, we will use appropriate language, gestures and topics in all discussions, including all Google classroom assignments.
No student will do work from another class in our class. Whatever you are working on will be taken from you. You will not get it back until after class.
No student will copy from another student's paper in this class. Copying will result in a zero for the assignment.
We will not gossip in class. We do not discuss other students, teachers or administrators in a negative way.Â
