Welcome to the 2025-2026 School Year. In this class, we will practice enhancing our reading skills by reading many different types of literature. We will write often and reflect on our writing frequently. You or your parents/guardians can reach me by email at moriartyc@hubbard.k12.oh.us 

Here is a list of supplies you will need to be successful in this class:

--Something with which to write everyday (pen, pencil)

--A 1.5 inch binder or larger

--Loose leaf notebook paper

That is the list. Short and sweet. I am a parent, therefore I appreciate minimal supply lists. Thank you for the privilege of instructing your child this school year.

When an assignment is crafted in this class, careful planning and thought are given to the delivery of instruction and the assessment types and rigor. To that end, late assignments will not be accepted in this class for full credit. No assignments will be accepted one week past the due date. The ability to be self motivated toward completion of practice work and assignments will be critical.

Here are the Ohio teaching standards to which I adhere during the school year. All lessons are crafted with the mastery of these standards in consideration.
