You will be creating a portrait of a Yoga Frog and showing the frog's movement. Make sure that you draw a background too!.

Durer's Patterned rhino

PROJECT TIME: 3 Twenty Minute Sessions.


DUE DATE: April 24, 2020

MATERIALS: Paper, pencils, markers, crayons, paint, colored pencils. USE ANY MATERIAL THAT YOU HAVE AVAILABLE, please substitute materials as needed.

Please watch the video that will introduce you to the project and the German artist Albrecht Dürer and his famous picture of a rhinoceros. Click this link:

Please watch the video before you begin to draw your rhino. Once you finish the video you may start to practice drawing your own rhino, please draw the rhino without the patterns 4 times before you start your final copy.

Once you have drawn your final copy make sure it is large, then you may start the patterns, if you do not have paint use anything that you have at home to complete this project. Please hold onto your project and bring it in when we return to school, you may also have your parent email me a picture of your project when it is finished in April.


Pete the cat

"I love my white shoes" What color shoes do you love? Pete the Cat goes on a adventure and sings a great song! You will be drawing a portrait of Pete the Cat.

What is a PORTRAIT? a portrait is a picture of a person or animal. You get to decide what color shoes Pete wears and you also get to decide where he is!




DIRECTIONS:

  • This project is meant to be completed over the next TWO weeks. Please spend 20 minutes this week and 20 minutes next week on Pete.

  • Make guidelines. Start the body .
  • Add the head.
  • Draw eyes, nose, whiskers and neck.
  • Draw the four legs .
  • Draw two front shoes.
  • Draw two back shoes.
  • Add details to all four shoes.
  • Draw a tail and horizon line.
  • Give Pete a place to be, this will be drawn in the BACKGROUND (the area behind Pete) is he in the city? Is Pete in a park? Is Pete at Disney? Is Pete in the forest? You decided and add a background for Pete.
  • Trace and color. You can use whatever materials that you have at home. Crayons, markers, color pencils or even paint if you have it!
  • If you have a sharpie please outline, if not no worries!
