A syllabus is given the first week of school. It explains the basics of the class. Please keep in mind that things are subject to change.
Supplies needed for my class are listed on the syllabus. If there are any issues with obtaining the required supplies, please speak to Miss Pauloski so accommodations can be made. Also, for clarification, as was explained multiple times in class, students do not need a specific type of pack of index cards. The color and size (3x5 or 4x6) is their decision. The pack of 100 (or larger) will be cut in half to extend the usage of the index cards.
Students will not have a literature book signed out to them. When the book is used, it will remain in the classroom unless there are special circumstances.
This year students will have a semester focused on writing and a semester focused on communications. This is slightly different than the "World Literature" format in previous years, but we will still read novels.
Cell phone usage is only permitted with teacher discretion in conjunction with classroom assignments.
Be aware of the school's plagiarism policy, found in the Student Rights and Responsibility Handbook.

Reminder: When a student is absent, it is his/her responsibility to make up any missed assignments, including tests. Once that time frame expires, the grade(s) becomes a zero.
Reminder: If an absence is unexcused, the student can make up the work, but the credit for the assignment(s) will be lost.
Reminder: When checking grades online, keep in mind that the percentage will be lower for students who have been absent and have not submitted his/her makeup work yet.
