Screen Recording on Windows, Mac and Chromebooks
Windows
Most of the time we will use Screencast-o-matic.
Launch the recorder (pay attention to any pop-ups and read what they say)
Resize the recording window to the correct size for your recording
Hit the record button (there will be a 3-second countdown)
Pause your recording when you are finished
Click on the music note to pick music that fits your video
Either choose download file or upload to youtube
If you download the video you must upload it to your Google Drive
Make sure you label the video
SimCity has a built-in video recorder.
Mac
Recording on the Mac: Use Quicktime. You can record video of your screen using the QuickTime Player app. Open the app using Spotlight and then follow these directions.
Chromebook
Download Screencastify from the webstore.
Follow the directions
Videos will save to your Google Drive

Certain programs like Parkitect (f12), Minecraft (f2) and Car Mechanic (f12) have different commands for screenshots. Check the individual project pages for more specific instructions.

How Do I Share a Folder on Google Drive?
After you (or your partner) create a folder for STEAM class, it needs to be shared with your teacher and every partner in the group. To do this:
Click the folder. (It will turn blue)
Right-click on the folder and click SHARE.
Add the names or email addresses of your teacher and the other partners in the group. Click DONE.
How Do I Add a Link in My Presentation?
Create a text box.
Click CTRL + K in the textbox.
Type the text you want into the text box that appears
Copy and paste the link you want into the link box.
How Do I Access My Google Account from Home?
Log into your Internet browser.
Click the link below: https://accounts.google.com/ServiceLoginAuth
Enter your email address (graduation year+student ID number+@homerschools.org into the USERNAME box).
Enter your password (favorite color+favorite animal+favorite number) into the password box.
How to Insert an Image in Google Slides?
Click INSERT/IMAGE
Click "Choose an Image to Upload"
Locate your image and double click on it.

How Do I Upload a video or image from an iPad to my STEAM folder on my Chromebook?
Click the video or image to select it.
Click the upload button.
Locate the Google Drive Icon
Locate or add your name to the user list.
Click DRIVE until you locate your STEAM folder.
Click your STEAM folder.
Click SAVE HERE.
Click Close when you have finished.
