Supply and Registration Day

August 17, 2017 from noon to 7. You can purchase your supply kit for next year now. Kits are on sale online until June 30. There will not be kits sold at the Supply and Registration Day. This is our largest PTO fundraiser every year. Take the stress off of school supply shopping and order your kit now. It will be waiting for you on August 17 to pick up along with your child's schedule and locker combination. You can take your supplies directly to your locker to be ready for the first day of school. You are also able to have your child take their school picture. More information on this to come.

Teacher Appreciation Week

I am proud to work with a great staff here at HMS. Thank you to the PTO and parents for your appreciation of our teachers.

Congratulations

Congrats to Mrs. Novosielski and Dept. Centner on being named the 2017 Highland Pride Award winners. Both are outstanding in their service to HMS students.

Congratulations to Mr. Warren on being named one of Medina County's Top Teachers.

Highland STAR Awards

Select a STAR and Show Your Appreciation!

The end of the school year is upon us, but there is still time to recognize a special teacher or staff member who has made an impact on you this past year by selecting them to receive a STAR Award. A Highland Foundation STAR Award helps you to let them know how much you appreciate everything they've done. Deadline for submission is Friday, May 19th. Awards will be distributed the following week.

The Staff and Teacher Award Recognition (STAR) program proudly honors a Highland community member of your choice for their outstanding achievements. Each recipient is presented with an award certificate and either a box of bonbons, or a Highland Diamond etched with the Highland Hornet and the year. A personal note from the donor can also be included with the award. Just fill out the STAR Awards form found online at www.highlandfoundation.org or in any school office, and the Highland Foundation will do the rest! Payments can be submitted online or sent in with your child along with the printed form. For more information, or details concerning your award delivery, please contact Michelle Cottrell at moonshei87@gmail.com or call 440-935-4223.
