Information Coming Home

There are several things that will be coming coming to your mailbox over the next week. If you have not received these by Tuesday May 22, contact the Middle School Office.

  • Award Assembly Invites - If your child has been chosen to receive an award at our end of year award assembly, you will receive an invitation. We hope you can join us. 6th grade awards will be held on May 24 from 8:30-9:30. 7th grade awards will be held on May 25 from 8:00 - 9:00. 8th grade awards will be held on May 29 from 8:30-9:30. All parents and family members are welcome to attend.
  • School Fee Notice(if applicable) - As a reminder, students are not able to attend the 8th grade Washington DC trip if their past school fees are not paid.
  • 2018-2019 Course Enrollments (6th and 7th graders only) - A letter will be sent home with your child regarding the courses they will be enrolled in for next school year. This will not represent your child's period schedule next year - only the courses they will be scheduled for. Please call Mr. Henry or Mrs. Colbow if you have any questions.
  • End of Year Letter (6th and 7th graders only)

ImPACT Testing (Immediate Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing)

Any 8th grader planning on playing a Fall Sport at HHS should sign up for IMPACT testing. Mr. Gittinger will be at HMS during the day on May 23-25. Sign ups for a day and time are in the office.

Yearbooks

We have a limited supply of yearbooks available in the main office. We are selling them on a first come first served basis. They are $20.

School Supply and Registration Day

The Annual School Supply and Registration Day will be held on Thursday August 16 from noon - 7:00.

School supply boxes are on sale now until June 30. Order now and have your box ready for pick up on 8/16. Click Here to order.

The day will also include school pictures, 7th grade immunizations (see below), and schedule/locker pick up.

This year schedules/lockers will only be released to students if their Final Forms are completely filled out by the parents and students.

7th Grade Immunizations

The Ohio Department of Health has issued new Tdap and Meningitis vaccine requirements for students entering 7th and 12th grade. The Medina County Health Department and/or your pediatrician can assist you in keeping your child up to date on your child's immunizations. If your child is a 6th grader, make sure you mention this at your next visit to the doctor. Please have your updated records faxed or dropped off at HMS.
