School Supplies
Do you feel like going store to store in the heat and humidity in August? Go ahead and get your supplies from the comfort of your home today! Go to www.1stdayschoolsupplies.com This benefits the PTO and your free time! Supplies will be at HMS on Aug 17 when you pick up your schedule. The deadline to order is June 30th. There will not be boxes for sale at the Supply and Registration Day.

Fall Sports
Fall sports for HMS (cross country, volleyball, football, cheerleading) will begin the beginning of August. Students must have a current physical to practice. You can find HMS Sports info at www.highlandhornets.net. All team schedules are posted here, and you can sign-up to follow specific teams and receive email or text alerts regarding game changes or reschedules.
Cross Country
For any students interested in middle school cross country, please email Coach Gilbert at rgilbert@highlandschools.org. He will send an invite link to share the CC website with information on the season including first day of practice, summer running, and practice/meet schedule.
HMS Supply and Registration Day
Mark down August 17 on the calendar. It is the annual Supply Pick Up and Registration Day. Between noon and 7pm, HMS will be open for families to pick up their schedule, get their locker combination, pick up their supplies, get school pictures taken, 7th graders get vaccines, and become familiar with the school.
The Ohio Department of Health has issued new Tdap and Meningitis vaccine requirements for students entering 7th and 12th grade for the 2017-18 school year. The Medina County Health Department, in partnership with Highland Schools, is making it convenient and affordable for your children to receive both vaccines and meet the new requirements.
