Things to Know

Here is what we will be doing to start the school year off:

• Learning about each other, making friends, and learning the routines and procedures of school.

• Math: Place Value (2 digit), Telling Time (hour/half hour), Mental Math (10 more, 10 less), 2 Digit Addition (with missing number)

• Language: Review of Nouns and Verbs, Proper Nouns

• Writing: Personal Narrative

• Social Studies/Science: Positive Growth Mindset

Homework goes home on Mondays and will be due on Fridays. It is meant to take 15-30 minutes each night. Students will earn 2 tickets for turning in their homework each Friday.

We will be using a ticket system in class this year. Students will have opportunities to earn tickets for excellent behavior, hard work, and more. Students will be able to collect their tickets to turn in for coupons and/or small prizes.
