About the Teacher & Contact Info

Hi! My name is Mrs. Boatwright. This will be my 17th year teaching in the district and my seventh year at Krystal. I am not just a teacher, but also a wife and a mother with three pretty awesome kids. Our son, Tyler, is serving our country in the Army. He is currently stationed at Ft. Drum, New York. Our daughter, Gwyn, will be going into 10th grade at Sultan and our son, Jack, will be going into 8th grade at Ranchero. We also have two dogs. They are English Springers named Chewie and Baxter .

Here are some fun facts about me, although I am sure you will hear tons more stories this year. I moved to Hesperia when I was 14-years old. I graduated from Hesperia High School in 1992 and took the really slow college route and graduated from California Baptist University in 2002. I went to Chapman University and received my Teaching Credential in 2003 and my Master's Degree in 2008. This summer I also took additional classes to fill my time, since the world was closed. I became an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and a Fitness Nutrition Specialist.

As a kid, my family spent a lot of time camping up at Lake Sabrina or Lake Skinner and we LOVED to ride our dirt bikes and dune buggy out in the desert. About 20 years ago, I crashed my quad and shattered my leg/knee joint. I have the metal screws that were in my leg in a baggie in the classroom, if you ever want to see them! We also took trips to Oceanside, CA every year. We still take family vacations to Oceanside every year and I love showing the kids all the things my sister and I did when we were their age. This summer, Mr. Boatwright and I took a trip to OUR HOUSE! This was our second stay-cation summer. We actually made the most of all of our family time together during this crazy time. We painted the house, did some updates to our yard, played games, watched old movies, tried to stay as active as possible and logged in some pajama days.

I can't wait to hear all about your summer adventures when we return to school.

Two things I love to do is go to Starbucks and ride my bike...but I have never ridden my bike to Starbucks. I did ride my bike from San Francisco to LA once!. That was a crazy adventure! I wanted to do it again this summer, but didn't get the chance to. I also love fitness and healthy eating (although, I LOVE all food in general!), the ocean, scrapbooking, sports, and Justin Timberlake.

So, that is me in a nutshell! I can't wait to get to know all of you this year! We are going to have a great year!
