Transitioning to College or University
There are many steps that students can take to help them plan for post-secondary.
Start with using myBlueprint while in high school to help plan for post-secondary and beyound. See your Site Head (Guidance Counsellor) if you forget your login information. Use the transition guide to help you plan out on your next step
1. Visit the Transition Resource Guide to receive information that will help you make a successful transition to college or university.

2. Transitioning to College or University? Consider following these links to learn more about where to look for support:
Need help paying for school? Explore the OSAP: Ontario Student Assistance Program. This is where you apply for OSAP or 30% Off Ontario Tuition. Get started by registering or login to apply online or check the status of your application – all in one place.
3. Apply for Canada Student Loans - Eligibility
When you apply and qualify for student financial assistance, you are automatically assessed for Canada Student Loans and Canada Student Grants. Government student loans are based on your assessed financial need.
4. Use the Student Financial Assistance Estimator
This will help estimate the potential annual student loan and grant amounts you may be eligible to receive. Things you will need:
- Information relating to your income or family's income
- Financial assets and investments (full-time only)
- Tuition fees and education costs

5. You would also qualify for a $2000 equipment grant to support yourself in a post-secondary program. This could also include receiving a new psych-ed assessment as well. You need to act early on this given the equipment must be purchased 6 months prior to starting the college/university program.
