Welcome to a New School Year at HCLS!

Dear Holy Cross Families,

It is with great joy and gratitude that I welcome you to a new school year! After teaching at Holy Cross Lutheran School for 15 years, I am honored to begin my third year as principal proudly serving in this role. Holy Cross is not just a place where I work; it is my home and my heart. I treasure the school family we’ve built together and the vibrant, Christ-centered community we continue to grow.

This year, our school theme is “Make a Joyful Noise!” Following last year’s focus on building connections within our congregation and local community, we now turn our hearts outward—joyfully sharing the love of Christ with the world around us. Whether through academic growth, acts of service, or simply encouraging words, our students will be learning how to shine God’s light joyfully and purposefully.

My mission as principal is to help prepare our children not only for academic excellence but also for a life of faith, compassion, and service. With the dedication of our exceptional teachers and a nurturing environment rooted in Christ, we aim to meet the unique needs of every child. Together, we will provide rigorous instruction, model Christian love, and offer meaningful opportunities for students to serve others.

Our Vision at HCLS

Faith

Here at HCLS, we put God first. Helping students create a safe, positive, and biblical based relationship. We nurture them through offering weekly chapel services, bible studies, daily prayer and time for weekly devotion.

Education

We are dedicated to creating a high standard for learning. Students at Holy Cross get a well-rounded education with introductory classes to foreign langauge, hands-on learning, matched with real-world experience.

Growth

Each student is a part of our family, and we value family at HCLS. With opportunities for one-to-one intervention, counseling, and mentorship. Our school is a continued space for growth.
