School Police

The School Police Department and the School Resource Officer Program (SRO) was established in 1998 as a component of the Humboldt County School District community Policing Partnership. Since its inception, the school police department has worked diligently to provide a proactive problem-solving partnership, by working closely with school officials, faculty, and local law enforcement, in order to enhance the safety of our schools. The SRO is the liaison between all local law enforcement, District Attorney, fire, and medical responders and is a sworn State of Nevada Category I Peace Officer. The SRO works diligently to promote a positive image on campus through interactions with students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
