Welcome to Ms. Golden's Class

My name is Colleen Golden, I am delighted to be the HCSD Reading Specialist and English Language Support teacher.

A new academic year is a time of exciting beginnings, developing friendships, and learning lots of new things each and every day.

I look forward to the excitement of a new year.

We will learn so much this year I cannot wait to dive in. My students will concentrate on reading with accuracy and fluency to support their comprehension of literature and informational text.

A little bit about myself, I am a graduate of the University of Vermont where I majored in both English and Education. I received my California teaching credential from San Francisco State University and my Reading Specialist certificate from the University of California Irvine. I have taught hundreds of children over the past two decades and look forward to many years to come. I am looking forward to another fantastic year of working with the families and staff of West School. It is apparent that this is a community that cares for their children.
