Are you a VIPS?
Did you know FVHS has MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS for all volunteers? All volunteers regardless of their volunteer activity level must be VIP'd.
This is a 4 step process
1. Fill out the online VIPS (Volunteers In Public Schools) application. This is MANDATORY FOR ALL VOLUNTEERS. The VIPS application needs to be filled out every school year.
2. Provide a current negative TB test result OR see our school nurse for a TB Risk Assessment. This is for volunteers who will have frequent or prolonged contact with students. This step needs to be done every 4 years. Online TB Assessment
3. Get fingerprinted and cleared through the district. If you require fingerprinting, Jodi Kohanek the CRC (Community Resource Coordinator) will email you the form after you complete the online VIPS application. This is for volunteers who are overnight chaperones, volunteer coaches, drivers, in a classroom on a regular basis or who have frequent or prolonged contact with students. This step only needs to be done once.
4. For all volunteers who drive students you need to fill out a Volunteer Driver Form. This is mandatory and required for all volunteer drivers. This step needs to be done every school year.
