Hawai‘i Community College has an agreement with ProctorU to provide proctoring services using webcams and live persons to proctor and monitor online exams. It is up to your instructor if this will be a testing option for your class.
The use of ProctorU is OPTIONAL. Even if your instructor makes this option available, you can still take proctored online tests free of charge at the UH Testing Centers.
Should you choose to take your proctored tests through ProctorU, there is a fee. Payment of all proctoring fees will be the obligation of the student. Prepayment of all fees must be made with a credit or debit card. You will be required to enter payment information into a secure page connected to a third-party card processor. The page is encrypted and ProctorU does not see or store the credit card data. Therefore, you will have to re-enter payment information each time new charges are incurred.
If you choose to take your online proctored exam with ProctorU, it is your responsibility to schedule your exam and pay for this service. To get the lowest cost, it’s recommended you schedule your online proctored exams well in advance of the exam deadlines.
