Chair/Co-Chair

  1. Receive Proposals

    • CAR forms for ALL proposals.

    • Proposals

      • New courses and course modifications via curriculum central.

      • Course deletions via paper form.

      • Program proposals via paper form.

    • Catalog Revisions for ALL proposals.

    • Diversification forms if applicable.

  2. Maintain Curriculum Log

    • Assign Curriculum Item #

    • Date received/reviewed/approved

  3. CurCom Review & Meetings

    • Place proposals on Agenda

    • Circulate proposal documents for committee review via CCentral or email.

    • Facilitate proposal review in meeting.

    • Document questions, revisions, etc.

    • Invite proposers to Curcom meetings (if needed)

  4. Curcom - Post Meeting

    • Log needed revisions in Curriculum log.

    • Notify proposer of revisions via email.

    • Route courses (new/mod) back for revision in CCentral. Be sure to only activate proposal items that need revision.

    • Sign approved curriculum and file in binder. Be sure all required documents are received.

    • Receive and review revised curriculum.

      • Facilitate 2nd committee review if necessary.

  5. Academic Senate Review

    • Submit approved curriculum for Academic Senate approval.

      • Develop memo to Academic Senate. Use catalog format (course, program, etc.)

    • Post approved curriculum for campus review on website (D. Amby)

    • Notify proposers of Academic review date.

    • Propose curriculum in Academic Senate.

  6. Special Topics Courses

    • Receive special topics forms.

    • Log courses in special topics log.

    • Track and log special topics offerings each semester.

Curriculum Committee Member

  1. Assist department members with curriculum process.

  2. Review curriculum prior to department review.

  3. Sign CAR and proposal documents and/or approve in CCentral after department approval.

  4. Review ALL curriculum before CurCom meeting.

  5. Participate in CurCom meetings.
