We are off to a good start!

We are learning about reading and writing. We are playing with sounds and word parts, orally and by listening. We are writing strokes and reading morning messages.

Our knowledge domain is 'All About Me.' We are learning how unique we are. Our new vocabulary word is human.  We extended our learning by drawing a human and writing the word human. We are also learning about different shades of color, including our skin colors. We learned that the word shade has more than one meaning. We also studied the human body parts and we know that the heart and lungs are inside of the body.

In math, we have explored various math tools.  We learned that we can count using some math tools and build with others.  We are also building a classroom math community, where we feel safe to answer questions and make mistakes. We started looking for and creating small groups of 1, 2, 3, and 4.
