Services

The Hanover Public School District has Special Education Services and Programs available to meet the needs of students identified with a disability and in need of specially designed instruction.

Students with the following disabilities and who are also in need of specially designed instruction are eligible for special education services:

    • Oral Expression

    • Listening Comprehension

    • Written Expression

    • Basic Reading

    • Reading Fluency

    • Reading Comprehension

    • Math Calculation

    • Math Problem Solving

  • Intellectual Disability

  • Blindness or Visual Impairment

  • Deafness or Hearing Impairment

  • Physical Disability

  • Emotional Disturbance

  • Speech and Language Impairments

  • Multi-Disability

  • Autism

  • Traumatic Brain Injury

  • Other Health Impaired

(The Hanover Public School District works in conjunction with the Lincoln Intermediate Unit #12 and surrounding districts to provide services to those students deemed eligible. Programs and services for school aged students may be provided at locations other than the child’s neighborhood school.)
