Battle of the Books Contest

April 14th was the day for the 'Battles' - the Jeopardy-style culminating activity for the Battle of the Books program. The action was fast and furious as students tried to be the first to hit their team's buzzer in order to answer the question that was asked by the 'moderator,' librarian Joy Blongewicz. In all, there were 14 teams that participated in this year's first Battle of the Books program. There were two 'Battles', each lasting 30 minutes. Points were tallied and the winner was announced. Afterwards, cake was enjoyed by the 49 participants. Congratulations to all participatns.
