Welcome back to school after this cool and wet summer. There will be many changes in technology this year but we have a good team of people working with you to make the transition.

One of the most significant changes is the move to Google Apps for Education. We are making this change for a variety of reasons which include:

• • increased reliability for our e-mail service

  • better SPAM control

  • increased functionality including document sharing

  • concrete introduction to "cloud computing"

  • lower costs

Over the course of the next few weeks, we will be offering training opportunities for students and teachers to learn more about the new features of Google Apps for Education. Stay tuned to this website for training dates, times, and places.
