Physical Education Mission Statement:
The mission of the Hadley Public Schools K-12 Physical Education Program is to develop physically educated individuals who demonstrate the knowledge, physical skills, social skills, and self-esteem necessary to ensure a healthy and productive lifestyle.
Philosophy:
The physical education curriculum is specifically designed for developing physical fitness, increasing movement skills, enhancing social skills, creating improved mental and emotional health, increasing knowledge and appreciation of physical activity, and making better use of leisure time. It is our objective that these learning experiences result in the students desire to continue to acquire new interests, more useful skills, and habits throughout their lifetime.
In this course students will have the following expectations: Advocate for their personal health, actively listen, and participate in class discussions pertinent to the class. They must also show a healthy respect for themselves, other students, staff, and the equipment and facilities of Hopkins Academy.
