For the 8th year in a row students wore their costumes to school and donated money to help fund a cure for cancer! This year's charity recipient was the National Breast Cancer Foundation. We raised a total of $234.00 to donate!
Phillipsburg's Ole Towne Festival
Interact members volunteered their time to help our sponsoring Rotary Club, Phillipsburg Rotary at the Ole Town Festival. We helped raise money for the Warren County Chief's Association - Concurring Children's Cancer. For $1, participants had the chance to play the Plinko board and win a new car (Hot Wheels) or candy! We raised $158.00 to donate!

Donate excess or unwanted Halloween candy to military and first responders! Collection will take place from Monday, October 31st, through Wednesday, November 9th.

*Thank you so much to everyone that donated candy! We collected a total of 107 pounds of candy to distribute between two military bases!
Norwescap Food Pantry Collection at ShopRite
On Sunday, November 13, Interact members volunteered their time asking ShopRite customers to donate much needed nonperishable items for our local Norwescap food pantry. It was a huge success! Thank you so much to all of the generous donors, as we were able to collect a total of 1,391 pounds of food and $267 in the time that we were there. We wish everyone a very happy holiday season!
2nd Annual CHOP Pajama Day
On Friday, December 2nd, Interact hosted Pajama Day in support of CHOP, Children's Hospital of Pennsylvania. Students and staff of the Greenwich Twp. School District wore their PJ's to school and donated $1 or more. GTSD families also had the option of donating through our online site. Thanks to the outpouring of donations online and in school, we surpassed our donation goal of $1,000.00, as we raised a grand total of $1,217.00 to donate to CHOP! Your donations will help to find better treatments, help families who cannot afford healthcare, and to provide quality-of-life programs and services in the hospital, the CHOP Care Network and in the community.
STEAM and Literacy Night at GES
Interact members, NJHS members, and Criminal Justice Club members help run stations during this newly implemented event at the elementary school! Member volunteers helped to facilitate STEAM activities such as Cup Stacking, Paper Catapults, Popsicle Stick Explosion, Paper Circuits, Pom Pom Cannon, Index Card Tower, Animal Puppets, Shape Art, Tool Box Examiner, and Fingerprinting!
Interact members tried a "One Can Challenge" for the first time at ShopRite on Saturday, April 1st. We challenged all shoppers to donate one or more cans during their shopping trip to help benefit River of Life Food Bank on South Main Street in Phillipsburg. We collected a grand total of 661 pounds of food and $143.00 in cash donations.
Interact members volunteered for a Rotartact sponsored event at Raritan Valley Community College on Saturday, April 15. As the event name states 3.6, unfortunately someone passes every 3.6 seconds in the world due to starvation. The goal of this project was to pack fortified macaroni and cheese bags for those in need to help end hunger. Volunteers packed a total of 40,000 meal bags in a little over 5 hours! Meals will be donated locally and some will be shipped to help those in need in Ukraine.
Spring Fling "Senior" Prom at Clymer Village
On Friday, April 28th, 8th Grade Interact Club members helped create a very enjoyable and memorable night for the residents of Clymer Village. Residents were treated to a sit down meal of salad, penne vodka, meatballs in sauce, chicken piccata, and bread, catered by Little York Restaurant in Milford, NJ. Thanks to the financial support of Phillipsburg Rotary, we were able to provide this delicious dinner. The night also included desserts, cold and hot drinks, and music provided by the SMS Interact Club. Members helped serve food and drinks, as well as held conversations with the residents, making many new friends! A wonderful time was had by all!
On Wednesday, May 10, Interact members hosted a nail café for the residents. Coffee, tea, and other drinks were served in addition to a plethora of desserts. Residents were welcomed in to enjoy a snack and good company. Residents were also offered to get their nails painted by the members. There were over 50 nail polish colors to choose from and the nails looked gorgeous!
