Operation Furr-ever Warm
Date: Monday, January 10th - Friday, January 28th
We are collecting new or gently used blankets and/or towels to donate to local animal shelters in need!
We ask that anyone who would like to donate, please drop off donations in the bin outside of Ms. Hummer's room, #101

December Event:
CHOP Pajama Party
Date: Friday, December 3rd
We ask that anyone who would like to wear their comfy pajamas to school donate $1 or more
All money raised will be donated to the CHOP Children's Fund

Update: Thank you so very much to everyone who participated and donated! Between in person donations and online donations we raised an AMAZING $1,456.76 for CHOP! I am so proud of and thankful to everyone who helped make this fundraiser such a success!
October/November Events:
Hats for Halloween
Date: Friday, October 22nd
We ask that anyone who would like to wear a hat to school donate $1
All money raised will be donated to fund a new tree at SMS for our memorial in memory of Matthew Hurte, a past student.
Update: Thank you so much to everyone who participated! We raised $381.00 to put towards a new memorial for Matt. We greatly appreciate your help in exceeding our goal!
Costumes for a Cure 2021
Date: Friday, October 29th
We ask that anyone who would like to wear a costume to school (must be school appropriate) donate $1 or more
All money raised will be donated to the Leukemia Research Foundation allbloodcancers.org
Update: We were able to send a donation of $215.00 to the Leukemia Research Foundation! Thank you to all who participated!
Operation Gratitude
We will again be collecting excess Halloween candy for the @OperationGratitude #HalloweenCandyGiveBack Program! The Military & First Responders who receive your sweet treats are extremely appreciative!
We'll be collecting candy from Tuesday, October 26th through Wednesday, November 3rd.
We ask that anyone who would like to donate, please bring your candy to school and drop it off in the candy drop box outside of Ms. Hummer's room #101!
Q: What kind of candy can I donate?
A: Individually wrapped, fun or bite-sized candy is accepted. *No powdered candy (Pixy Stix, Fun Dip, etc.), unwrapped, or homemade items.
Update: Our collection was so successful, we extended the collection through November 12th! We were matched with first responders at the Kingston-Forty Fort Fire and Rescue in Kingston, PA. Ms. Hummer delivered approx. 87 pounds of candy to them on Sunday, November 7, and they were extremely appreciative! With the extension, we collected another 26 pounds of candy which was donated to local first responders! Thank you so much!
