Make sure you choose the right software for your operating system (OS) - OSX or Windows. In some cases the link will automatically take you to the correct OS installation.
The preferred web browser at Greenwood is Google Chrome.
Proceed to install Chrome using the links below.
All students and teachers use Google Drive to back up their files. Google Drive works both online and on your computer (called Google Drive for Desktop). To use Google Drive for Desktop, you will need to install it first, then sign in. Make sure you save all of your work there!

Please do not create course folders. This will be done for you in September. When you open Google Drive you will see folders with the same names as the courses you are enrolled in at Greenwood. It is important for you to use these folders!

IT is pleased to announce that Greenwood will be able to provide Adobe Cloud licenses for all students.
Students will receive instruction from their teachers on how to install this software when classes begin in September.
Signing in to Chrome will automatically add apps such as Greenwood's Gmail, Calendar, and other apps you may need for your classes. Watch the above video to learn how to sign in to Chrome.

Click on the link above and follow the instructions to add the school's printer to your device. Note that you can only set this up and print once you are on the Greenwood wireless network. There is also a link in the instructions that allows you to view your print history and check on your print jobs.
Click on the link above and save the webpage as a favorite in your Google Chrome browser. To create a bookmark for the page you’re on, click the Bookmark Icon in the address bar. You can then find your new bookmark on the bookmarks bar at the top of your browser window or via the Chrome menu .

Touch typing is an essential skill taking notes and composing documents. Academic program leadership recommends students entering grade 7 have entry level keyboarding skills using of home row, keyboard short cuts, and proper posture. Novice touch typists have about 20 words per minute with >85% accuracy, intermediate level with an average of 40 WPM >92% accuracy.
If you do not have entry level keyboarding skills, the school recommends proacting touch typing before the school year starts. Keybr (https://www.keybr.com/) is recommended site to practice touch-typing. The keyboarding site is free with ads. The school does not have an account, but students can create their own account to track their progress. Although not necessary one can purchase license to remove advertisements for $14.
Be familiar with the Appropriate Use of Technology section (page 42) of the Family Handbook to understand the expectations of using your device at Greenwood. Infractions of this policy will lead to sanctions and/or disciplinary action. Expectations and potential disciplinary actions are further explained in the handbook.
