School-issued laptops come fully pre-configured with all necessary applications, so no additional setup is required. To log in, use your Greenwood account credentials. Your Windows username is firstname.lastname (or your full Greenwood email address), and your password follows the standard Greenwood account format. If you need to verify your password format, consult the Start Here section for reference.
Follow the link instructions to add the school printer to your device. Setup and printing require an active connection to the Greenwood Wi-Fi network. The link also provides access to view your print history and monitor active print jobs.
Click on the link above and save the webpage as a favorite in your Google Chrome browser. To create a bookmark for the page you’re on, click the Bookmark Icon in the address bar. You can then find your new bookmark on the bookmarks bar at the top of your browser window or via the Chrome menu ( ⋮ ).
Touch typing is essential for taking notes and writing documents. Entering Grade 7 students are expected to have basic keyboarding skills, including home-row positioning, standard shortcuts, and proper posture. Aim for a novice target of 20 WPM with over 85% accuracy, or an intermediate target of 40 WPM with over 92% accuracy. Greenwood provides Adobe Creative Cloud licences for students based on their course requirements. For classes that require Adobe software, installation and setup will be guided directly by the teacher during class time.
Be familiar with the Appropriate Use of Technology section (page 42) of the Family Handbook to understand the expectations of using your device at Greenwood.
