Follow the instructions below to set up your device. Make sure you choose the right software for your operating system (OS): MacOS or Windows. In some cases the link will automatically take you to the correct OS installation.
The preferred web browser at Greenwood is Google Chrome. You can download the installer from the Google Chrome Download Page or button below.
When you first open Chrome, you will be prompted to sign in. Signing in with your school account (e.g., firstname.lastname@greenwoodcollege.com) will automatically log you into your Google Workspace apps (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, etc.) and sync your bookmarks, tab groups, and history.
We strongly recommend setting up a dedicated school profile to keep your school resources, logins, and bookmarks backed up and separate from personal data.

Follow the link instructions to add the school printer to your device. Setup and printing require an active connection to the Greenwood Wi-Fi network. The link also provides access to view your print history and monitor active print jobs.
Click on the link above and save the webpage as a favorite in your Google Chrome browser. To create a bookmark for the page you’re on, click the Bookmark Icon in the address bar. You can then find your new bookmark on the bookmarks bar at the top of your browser window or via the Chrome menu ( ⋮ ).
Touch typing is essential for taking notes and writing documents. Entering Grade 7 students are expected to have basic keyboarding skills, including home-row positioning, standard shortcuts, and proper posture. Aim for a novice target of 20 WPM with over 85% accuracy, or an intermediate target of 40 WPM with over 92% accuracy. All students and staff use Google Drive to store, back up, and share schoolwork.
Automated Course Folders: Please do not create your own course folders. In September, dedicated folders matching your enrolled courses will automatically appear in your Google Drive. Make sure to save and organize your assignments directly inside these folders.
Google Drive for Desktop: Google Drive works both in your web browser and locally on your computer via Google Drive for Desktop. To access your files directly from your computer's file manager, install the application and sign in.
Username: Sign in using your full school email address (e.g., firstname.lastname@greenwoodcollege.com — note the .com domain).

Exam.net is a secure browser platform used to deliver online proctored exams, quizzes, and assessments. To ensure your child can complete required coursework without technical issues, please install the software on their device prior to the start of testing.
On Windows devices, Exam.net runs through Safe Exam Browser. Please download Safe Exam Browser through the download page below. Note that the download page will redirect to a third-party site which has been vetted by the IT as safe to use.
Please install Exam.net through the Apple App Store.
Greenwood provides Adobe Creative Cloud licences for students based on their course requirements. For classes that require Adobe software, installation and setup will be guided directly by the teacher during class time.
Be familiar with the Appropriate Use of Technology section (page 42) of the Family Handbook to understand the expectations of using your device at Greenwood. Infractions of this policy will lead to sanctions and/or disciplinary action. Expectations and potential disciplinary actions are further explained in the handbook.
If Office is not on your device, download the appropriate installer below or from the Office 365 Download Page.
Open Microsoft Word or any other Office Application to activate your Office 365 license. Once Word opens, click Sign In and enter your Greenwood email (firstname.lastname@greenwoodcollege.com) along with your password.
Complete the sign-in process by selecting the following responses when prompted:
Sign in to the rest of the Office suite: Select Yes.
Allow organization to manage device: Select No.
Set up Two-Factor Authentication: Select Skip Set Up For Now (located to the left of the OK button).
After completing these choices, your Microsoft Office license will activate automatically, granting full access to Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and the rest of the Office suite.
