My name is Keri Lewis and I am excited to be part of the Woodland community. This will be my 22nd year teaching, and my third year at Woodland.  I graduated from USC Spartanburg (Upstate) with my BA and M.Ed degrees in Early Childhood Education. I taught K4 at Golden Strip CDC for 5 years, K5 for 12 years and 3rd grade for 2 years at Taylors Elementary. This will be my fifth year teaching 3rd grade. I've lived in the Taylors/Greer area my entire life. I am a product of Greenville County Schools attending Mitchell Road Elementary, Greenville Middle, and Eastside High School (1995).  I believe that play and exploration are vital to the education of young children, even 3rd graders! We learn through our experiences and our senses and I enjoy finding ways to bring those experiences into the classroom.

I am married to Jeremy and we have 2 children. Ava is a junior at Riverside High and Joshua is in 8th grade at Riverside Middle. We have a Miniature Schnauzer named Hipper. When I'm not teaching  I enjoy traveling, going to the beach, shopping, singing, baking, and crafting.  Most weekends you'll find cheering on my son's basketball games or thrift store shopping with my daughter. I am so excited about this school year and can’t wait to get to know and love each and every one of your precious children!

Some of my favorite things are: chocolate, coffee, stationery and journals, pens, Mexican food,  flowers, plants and the color green.

**I am always very appreciative of any gifts that are given. However, it is important to note that I am deathly allergic to bees and bee products (especially anything with beeswax or propolis). I kindly ask that you refrain from sending anything that is made with bee products, including honey.
