Meet

Mrs. Howard

I knew from an early age that I wanted to work with children. I graduated from Southern Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.  In 2002, I completed my Masters of Education degree from Clemson University in Counseling Education.   In 2012, I received my Certification in School Counseling from Clemson University.  I am a member of the Palmetto State School Counselor Association (PSSCA) and the American School Counselor Association (ASCA).  I received my certification as a CDF aka Career Development Facilitator through the Greenville County School District.

Before I earned my Certification in School Counseling, I worked at Stone Academy for five years as a Parent Educator for the Parents as Teachers program. I was a School Counselor at Riverside Middle School for two years before coming back to Stone Academy as the School Counselor.  I am beyond excited to be in this role and feel fortunate to come back to Stone for my 11th year, so that I can continue my career at the school that I love. I am married to JW Howard and we have 2 children, Madison and Jackson. They attended and love Stone Academy as well.  Madison graduated from Clemson University in 2022 and started her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy at Presbyterian College in August 2023.  Jackson works for Amazon as a Delivery Driver.
