Eric Rogers is an award winning filmmaker who has taught Film and Video Production at the Fine Arts Center since 1994. He has been an Apple Certified Trainer and he instructs his students in scriptwriting, directing, producing, editing, lighting, camera, special effects and cinematography. Computer programs he teaches include, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, Soundtrack, DVD Studio Pro, Final Draft and Motion. Rogers received his Bachelor of Science degree in Cinema and Video Production in 1992 and has since worked on various personal and professional projects, serving as a writer, director, producer, editor and cinematographer. He has written, produced and served as cinematographer on both short films and feature length films. His films have been screened at a number of film festivals including the Telluride Indiefest, Worldfest Houston International Film Festival, The Asheville Film Festival, The Charlotte International Film Festival and the Appalachian Film Festival. He has been featured in a number of publications including Script Magazine, GSA Business, The Greenville News, MetroBeat, Link Magazine and Reel Carolina. His writing and photography has been featured in Appalachian Trail Magazine, The Greenville Journal, and Skeptic Magazine. Rogers previously reviewed movies for the Greenville News and for the Greenville Journal. He has been the recipient of several grants from organizations such as the Metropolitan Arts Council and the South Carolina Film Commission.Â
