Information Evaluation - Help students understand how to evaluate the information they encounter
Digital Research - Students can take advantage of our school subscription to NoodleTools to create completely digital research projects including digital note cards, outlines, citations, works cited, and papers.
DISCUS - Database instruction tailored to your subject area or project needs.
Overdrive - Show students how to access free ebooks and audio books and demonstrate access through computers and devices.
Library Guides & Destiny Collections - One stop information for student projects and unit studies. Ask Mrs. Fansher to create a Library Guide or a Destiny Collection for your next project.

Students will learn how to effectively use all of the features in Destiny Discover and how to use online tools such as Goodreads and Novelist. They can even have the opportunity to "speed date" with library books to find their reading match.
Technology Tools - Want to add a little technology to your lesson? Mrs. Fansher can help!
LIBRARY POLICIES
Teachers may send up to 3 students at a time to the library. If your students need special help please let us know in advance. Each student that you send to the library must have an individual pass in their own agenda. Please remind students to sign in and sign out upon entering and leaving the library.
Treat the library as a classroom (or better!)
Teachers and students should not bring food into the library. All drinks must be in cups with tightly sealed lids.
Please refrain from talking on your phone in the library.
If your group would like to reserve the library after hours for a special event please check with Mrs. Fansher and Mr. Wynder to make your reservation. Groups should not bring food or drinks into the library, should rearrange any furniture back to the way you found it, should call a custodian if cleaning is needed.

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS CENTER
Listing of titles and number of copies at the Instructional Materials Center
If you would like for me to secure a checkout for you please let me know at least 2 weeks in advance.
Please let me know the exact date that you would like to begin reading the book and how many copies you will need.
Checkouts are for 6 weeks. Let me know as soon as possible if you are going to need them longer so I can check on availability.
You will receive an inventory of each book that is checked out to you. The books are checked out in your name and you will be responsible for any lost or damaged copies.
You are responsible for boxing up your books and leaving them in the front office for the courier to pick up. The courier runs on Tuesdays and Fridays.
If there is a title you are interested in that is not currently in the inventory please let me know and I’ll pass that along to the materials manager.
