Exit tickets are a useful tool to use to collect individual evidence of student understanding. They're particularly useful to inform decisions about what to address next: What are the gaps in student understanding? What are students able to do that does not need to be repeated? What misconceptions in understanding emerge? Which students are ready to move on and which students need to be taken aside for small group instruction?
Each folder below is named by the overall expectation "code" (e.g., Linear Relations 1 = LR1). Within the folders, each document includes a variety of questions that move from simple to complex questions. They are aimed at giving students a chance to illustrate their thinking, explain their thinking, and reflect on their thinking. Select the question that is best suited to the learning goal set for the lesson.
The folder includes a growing bank of questions.
