Student Account Termination

GNSPES accounts are provided to students while they are they are active students in the Nova Scotia public education system.

Accounts are automatically deleted when students are no longer in the public education system, according to the following timeline:

• • Student becomes inactive in PowerSchool (Student Information System)

  • One week later student receives an email indicating that their account has been flagged as inactive and will be deleted in 1 year

  • One month before the deletion date, the student receives another reminder

  • On the deletion date the account is deleted

Accounts can be disabled or deleted for other reasons as well.
