Memorial High School is excited to announce the launch of a new High Skills Major (HSM) certificate program with a focus on Early Childhood Education, starting in September 2025.
This unique opportunity allows students to explore a career in early learning while working toward their high school diploma. Through a combination of focused course selection, community-based learning, co-operative education, and industry-recognized certifications, students will gain valuable skills and experience that prepare them for post-secondary education and the workplace.
Students will:
Complete relevant electives and co-op education
Earn certifications valued by employers and colleges
Build a career portfolio through myBlueprint
Engage in hands-on community learning experiences
Who Can Apply?
Students entering Grade 10 in September 2025 are encouraged to enrol when they return to school in September.
Students in Grades 11 or 12 may also apply if they can complete all program components.
If you’re passionate about working with children and shaping the future, this program is for you!
