Welcome Brendan Callahan
Director of History and Social Sciences
Mr. Callahan began his career teaching middle school social studies at Hartford Public Schools. For the last twelve years, he served at the high school level as a teacher, Academic Dean, Curriculum Developer, and Instructional Coach for the Achievement First school network.
Mr. Callahan is known for his outstanding character, integrity, and academic vision. He is also a 1999 GHS graduate!
Glastonbury Public Schools Receives Red, White, And Blue Schools Award!
Glastonbury Public Schools was honored in 2017-18 and 2018-19 by the Red, White & Blue Schools program. The program is a civic engagement initiative led by Secretary of State and the State Department of Education that promotes the importance of civic involvement among Connecticut students of all ages.
The Secretary of State presented the award to Ilene Viner, the Director of History and Social Sciences.
