Language Arts Resource Teachers
Language Arts Resource Teachers (LARTs) focus on ongoing improvement of the delivery of classroom instruction. They support the literacy needs of elementary students, teachers, and other staff at both the school and district level. They ensure consistent literacy instruction across the district.

Support for Teachers
Assist classroom teachers with implementation of literacy curriculum
Collaborate with teachers to differentiate literacy instruction
Model and co-teach literacy lessons
Collaborate with principals, reading teachers, classroom teachers, tutors, paraprofessionals, and other staff to plan, execute and analyze literacy assessments
Design, oversee and facilitate professional development for literacy across the district and in individual schools.
Align curriculum and instruction with state standards, district expectations, and instructional practices
Research, recommend, and secure resources that lead to improved student instruction
Support for Students
Work directly with small groups of students to improve learning outcomes,
Administer, collect, and analyze school based and district wide data:
Ensure that student achievement data drives instructional decisions at the classroom, school and district level
