Gladstone Robotics is a FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team. FIRST provides great challenges and competitions for the team to test their skills. However one of the challenges is to raise the money to not only design build and test a robot, but to also pay for registration fees and travel. This teaches all FRC students gracious professionalism, one of FIRST’s motto's. It means to be competitive and motivated, but also humble and gracious about it. Approaching large companies seems difficult at first, but when those companies are gracious and generous by contributing to a team, it teaches students to not fear companies. It also inspires students to apply to jobs in the leading companies, because it show every student that there are real people leading the company. When you contribute to an FRC team now, you end up with eager FRC students with practical and theoretical experience ready to tackle any task.
There are several things that your money goes to when you contribute to Gladstone Robotics for example;
Each FRC competition costs $6,000 to register in.
The average cost of a robot is $3,500.
Travel, tools, team equipment and facility upkeep cost our team annually $3,500.
Plus there are several new expenses that can’t be determined until a new need is discovered.
Some of these newly introduced expenses are included below. Feel free to subscribe to the posts so that you will be notified about updates and new needs.
