• • Students were invited to our Google Classroom via their school email. They need to log on and check their email frequently. Click the link in the email from each of your teachers to access their classroom. Only GJSD emails are permitted to be enrolled in the class.

• • This year in Physical Education we will focus on Exercise and Lifelong Fitness, not only through performance, but also hands on activities, assessments, and discussion activities focusing on the following topics:

          • The Components of Fitness

          • Heart Rate Measurement

          • Setting Goals for Lifelong Fitness

          • Physical Activity and Safety

          • And Preventing Injuries at School, Home, Community, and during Recreational Activities
            

  • Your level of fitness will be assessed through various types of physical fitness tests focusing on

• Flexibility

• Muscular Strength

• Muscular Endurance

• • Students will be required to complete the weekly fitness log by Midnight Friday.

  • Students will also be required to complete various Fitness Concepts via reading, watching videos, worksheets, etc.

Adapted At-Home Instruction Page during Covid-19

• • On this page you will find the paper packets that were sent home via USPS. Until you gain access to a chromebook/internet to complete the assignments online, you should continue to complete the packets that were sent home and return them to the school when more details are sent out.

Technology - School Google Account/Email

• • If you do not have access using a chromebook (not a cellphone), you need to contact a the school office, teacher, or a staff member that can direct your information to the appropriate personal.

• • Advisement teachers are contacting their students at the high school and if you were not contacted, there might have been a problem with your contact information in PowerSchool and you should contact them or the school to have it changed.

• • If you do not have your school email login information, you should also contact someone. (Hint: Go to Google, click login and enter the same as you do to login to a chromebook at the school.)
