The Need
When I started fostering rescue dogs many years ago, I found that some dogs were slipping through the cracks and actually suffering in their foster homes. Rescues and shelters often focus on placement rather than meeting special needs. But some of these dogs had an immediate need for a stable home where they could feel secure and receive special care.
Gingersnap House was formed to help finance care for older or medically needy animals. Our volunteer caregivers provide safe, loving homes and appropriate medical care even if it’s just palliative.
