Snowsofia

Snowsofia was one of 29 relinquished birds as a recommendation from NJSPA which was investigating a hoarding and animal abuse case in Wantage, NJ in June 2016. Snowsofia was found sharing a cage with an African Grey and a Blue Fronted Amazon. Her mid breast had a large ulceration most likely from stress related self-mutilation.

Snowsofia started showing her true colors almost immediately as she loved not being confined to a cage and perching on a stand. Snowsofia can spend all day hand held, cuddled and caressed close to your chest as possible. She will bow her head and twist her neck upward, close her eyes and allow one to just give her a queen treatment as we call here at the refuge.
