Concurrent Enrollment through Red Rocks Community College
At Gilpin, High School Students have the unique opportunity to earn community college credit through a concurrent enrollment program with Red Rocks Community College while they are in high school.
Eligibility:
Be in good academic standing and on track to graduate
Unweighted GPA of a 3.0
Meet Red Rocks course prerequisite requirements
Have an open period in your class schedule

Speak with Ms. Cobb
Apply online at Red Rocks Community College, Here is the link. You will need to supply parent information, as well as student information, including social security numbers and driver’s license numbers. During the application process, be sure to mark "YES" in response to the College Opportunity Fund.

Complete the necessary paperwork for registration. Reach out to Ms. Cobb
The chosen courses must align with post-secondary plan and be a GT (Guaranteed Transfer) course. Review academic plan with Ms. Cobb
COST: If a student is eligible to take college level classes Gilpin County School will pay the tuition during the fall and spring semesters only. The student/parent is responsible for paying for the fees for each course. In the unfortunate event that a student earns an F, the student may not be allowed to register for additional Red Rocks courses.
DEADLINES: Preregistration paperwork must be completed early May for registration for the fall semester, and November for the spring semester.
