Membership is open to testing professionals in post-secondary institutions operating within the state of Georgia. There is no cost to join. To join, please send an e-mail to (tbeebe@georgiasouthern.edu) the ListServ and Website Chair to add your name to the GCTA ListServ. The ListServ allows testing professionals to ask questions of other professional testing staff throughout the state of Georgia. NCTA Certified Test Centers are certified for five years and then must recertify to maintain the NCTA Certified Test Center status.

The GCTA will hold elections for board members at the GCTA Conference which takes each May. The position requires actively serving a two-year term, or a designated term as specified, while maintaining consistent participation throughout the duration. Responsibilities include attending all scheduled monthly board meetings, as well as participating in the annual GCTA Conference each year. The role also calls for active engagement in organizational initiatives and involvement in committee membership, contributing to the overall mission and effectiveness of the organization. You can nominate yourself or someone else, by completing the GCTA Board Nominations Form to nominate an individual by the deadline. Nominations are currently closed.
Consider sharing your expertise with GCTA by submitting an educational proposal to present at the GCTA Conference in May. Potential topics may include: Testing Best Practices, Data Collection Analysis and Reporting, Maintaining Testing Security and Compliance, and Supporting New Testing Professionals. You are also encouraged to explore innovative topics such as the use of AI in Testing Operations, Remote and Hybrid Proctoring Strategies, Improving Accessibility and Inclusive Testing Design, Leveraging Technology for Efficient Test Administration, Enhancing the Test-Taker Experience, and Emerging Trends in Digital Assessment Tools. Please be on the lookout for correspondence regarding presentation proposals as conference planning gets underway.
