Binder Check

Organization is one of the keys of success. The AVID binder is an organizational tool to help students maintain notes and school work in one place. Students are expected to maintain a two inch binder (or larger) organized in "The AVID Way." Student binders are assessed regularly for organization. Binder checks are a part of a student's AVID grade and students should always be ready to complete a Binder Check. If students are maintaining an organized binder at al times, they should not have to spend time organizing their binder outside of school. It should be a red flag to parents if their student spends significant time putting their binder together prior to a Binder Check.
