Egypt, is a hot country in Africa, which is a hot, sandy place, with the Nile River, and the famous pyramids of Giza! And the streets of Cairo are always bustling with tourists and Egyptians. But in 1981, a man named Hosni Mubarak was put into office, and was president, for the 30 years! But that’s because the elections were unfair, and he would be the only one running. The people of Egypt got frustrated with him, and started to protest the way he ruled the country. Mubarak was finally kicked out of office, but then something worse then Hosni Mubarak came: The military! People protest more than before, no matter how many pellets were shot at them, or how many times they get sprayed by officers. Now, the military rules, until the election in a couple weeks, May 23-24. But how fair will the elections be? What if the military is able to stay in power, and the Egyptians will be in a worse scenario than before? What do you think? Will they be able to get a democracy with a fair leader?
