Do you have any idea how many things we use, count on trees? I don’t think so. Yes, we use trees for furniture and floors, but some things that we use have tree hiding in it! These are just a few things that have some sort of tree in it: ice cream, some types of cheese, latex gloves, movies and photographs, beer and disposable diapers!
First I think I should talk about ice cream. I mean ice cream and wood, doesn’t make sense right? But it actually does. You know why? Because that that creamy feeling in your mouth when you eat it is actually purified wood pulp! Its really low-fat ice cream and you know what makes it low-fat? The pulp! The pulp is really called cellulose and it’s used to cut calories in food. Even for other low-fat treats like yogurt has cellulose in it!
Next is cheese. Well, actually shredded cheese. You know why shredded cheese only? Because the Cellulose keeps cheese slivaers from sticking together. They are It’s also in lots of other dairy products to substitute the non-wood products because it’s cheaper.
So, now that you know some of the few things that have wood, think about how much wood people use a day! A lot, so lets all try our best and use the least amount of wood you can!
