Become a Mentor
York Chester Middle School is seeking caring adults who have up to one hour a week to serve as a friend and role model to a middle school aged child. Your gift of time can make a difference in the life of a deserving student. To be a mentor, you must:
- complete a Gaston County Schools Volunteer application at www.gastonschoolvolunteers.com
- have a background check at no cost to the volunteer
- attend a mentor training and orientation class
- commit to meet weekly with mentee for up to one hour
