    Concessions Tonight
As of now, we have nobody signed up to work basketball concessions tonight. If you are available to work either 3:30-6:30 or 6:30-9:30 (or both), please click on the link below to sign up. We must know ahead of time who is going to be working. I have kids signed up to work both shifts, but I don't want to put them in a position where they get ready to set up only to find that no adults are going to be there. Parents, you are as much of a part of this band as your kids are. We need you to get involved and help out when you can. Your support of our program goes a long way toward our success!

    Fruit Sale
Please see below for a message from Florida Indian River Groves regarding tangelos.

Important:  When the fruit for your fruit sale fundraiser arrives, Mandarins will be substituted for your tangelo orders and will arrive in a box marked “Mandarins.”

Due to the effects of Hurricane Matthew on the interior portion of our groves, our Tangelo crop was much smaller than normal.  Had we been aware of this interior crop damage, we would have notified organizations earlier.  We have, however, now exhausted our entire Tangelo crop.  As a result, we have been forced to make a substitution in your fruit sale order.

Instead of receiving Tangelos, your customers will receive Mandarins.  Tangelos and Mandarins are in the same citrus “class.”  The mandarin is part of the hybrid which makes up a Tangelo, which is a cross between a mandarin and a grapefruit.  Our mandarins are the closest variety to your supporters’ original purchase.

Our Mandarins are a premium variety, which are normally more expensive.  However, we will be honoring your Tangelo pricing.  In short, your supporters receive a higher quality and more expensive piece of fruit, while you and your group keep the same profit margins.

Much like a Tangelo, the Mandarin has a “zipper skin,” which makes it incredibly easy to peel.  They are great for school lunches and snacks in the workplace.  Each ten pound box will contain (2) five pound bags.  Twenty and Forty pound boxes will not contain bags and will contain individual pieces.

Thank you.  We appreciate you, and we value your business.

Thank you so much to everyone who helped out at Carols on the Square and the Ranlo Parade! If you have not sent in 2-3 bags of candy, please do so this week for the Dallas Parade.

    Fruit Delivery
Our fruit is now scheduled to arrive on Monday, Dec. 12 during the late afternoon or early evening. Usually we get our delivery early in the morning and have time to sort it out before people pick up in the afternoon. This time, it is imperative that we have people on hand to help unload the truck when it gets here and then sort through the fruit. We still need to be able to get all orders out that evening if at all possible. I probably won't know until Saturday an approximate time for the delivery. My best guess right now is sometime after 4:00. If you are available to help any time between 4-9pm, please reply to this e-mail and let me know.

    Basketball Concessions
We still need more help for concessions at tonight's basketball game. We still have one spot available for 1st shift and two spots for 2nd shift. If you can help, please click the link below to sign up or reply to this email. Thank you!

    Carols on the Square/Ranlo Parade
For Carols on the Square tonight, students should wear blue jeans and some kind of shirt that is red, black, white, or green. They will probably also need a jacket as temperature will be in the 40's during the event. We will wear the marching uniform for the parade on Saturday. Students will meet at the old courthouse and should be picked up no later than 7:45. The event should be over by 7:30. On Saturday, students will meet at the high school and we will take a bus to the parade. Please make sure your child is picked up after the parade no later than 2:45. If all goes as planned, they should be ready to leave closer to 2:30. See below for the complete schedule.

    Basketball Concessions
We are still in need of parents to sign up to work at the basketball games. This can be a huge fundraiser for us, but we need your help. As of now, we only have one parent signed up for one shift at one game. Please click on the link below to see the available dates and sign up today!

We still need more candy for the parades. If your child has not brought in 2-3 bags of candy, please have them do so tonight or tomorrow morning. Thank you!
