Prior to coming to Highland School of Technology I was a teacher at Forestview High School(3) and teaching assistant at Warlick Academy(2). The 15+ years leading up to my education career found me in the "business" of sports.

During that time, I worked in the front office for minor league baseball (SC & GA), minor league hockey (GA & TN), Arena Football League (FL, OH),and the National Hockey League (FL, GA & OH). In addition to my team-oriented responsibilities with the NHL, I coordinated the sales and marketing for family shows and concerts.

In addition to teaching in the Business & Legal Pathway, I am an adviser for the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), the adviser for the Investment Club and a past-member of the School Improvement Team.

My wife of 26 years, Shannon, is an 'awesome' counselor for the Shelby Golden Lions. I have two wonderful children; a graduate student at Boston University and a recent graduate of Gardner-Webb. I am a life-long fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Steelers and Pirates and my family enjoys camping at both the beach and in the mountains of NC/SC.

I am looking forward a great SUMMER!
